Hi

Can anyone help me find a position in Central Scotland (Edinburgh/Glasgow and anywhere in between).

My company have just terminated my temporary contract with no notice. It was a gamble I took when I took on the position to help them out 7 months ago. Anyway, need to pick myself up and brush myself off and get on with finding the next job.

I have been working as a Safety and Compliance Officer basically bringing the company up to scratch with their ISO 9001 and 14001 accreditations. Additionally have been doing safety inspections, audits, writing and implementing procedures, training and induction etc.

Have previous experience of civil engineering and construction, rail and manufacturing.

Have a NEBOSH Gen Cert and want to do my diploma within the next 12 months. Ideally would like full-time permanent but anything would be considered at present.

Keen and enthusiastic and passionate about getting the correct safety messages across to staff and management.

Have been down and am continuing to travel down the agency route. Hit and miss I find and not convinced all their clients are actually looking for people or whether they are just sending CV's speculatively.

If anyone thinks they can help that that would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in anticipation.

Sandra (sangar98@hotmail.co.uk)

PS: My partner is also in the market, Health and Safety Manager - rail, construction, civils etc - same e-mail for him.
