Is there anyone out there willing to take a chance on me?
I am qualified to NEBOSH General Certificate level and also hold the RIPHH Diploma in Food Hygiene and Safety as well as a Teaching qualification.
Having spent 15 years as a competent person within the Hospitality and Catering industry where I carried out Risk Assessments and Audits among other things I now wish to pursue a career in H & S.
Like many others I come across the problem of lack of experience but i am enthusiastic, committed, dedicated and a very quick learner.
It is my intention to continue my studies and next year I intend to self fund my Diploma.
Location is up for discussion as is salary.

Posted By paul goddard Morning stuart. It would appear that you have had problems gaining a safety post? If you are willing to take a chance the organization that I work for are looking for assistant safety officers, the post involves fire safety, health and safety, a small proportion of construction safety. The location is in Qatar in the health care environment. You would be working with a multi-national team. All standards are to BS and or HTM. It can be frustrating, and a good sense of humour, with a lot of patients (excuse the pun)are the maim requistites for the post (and of course the certificates)but it is an excellent learning ground.
