Good morning.
Mindful of the AUG's, this is not a job advert. A while ago I helped the company I work for find a suitable site manager with safety qualifications. Trouble is, I did such a good job they now want me to help look for a QS as well! Trouble is, I only know the correct channels for H&S people. Can anybody recommend some good free sites to advertise on in this field. (apart from the obvious like jobcentre etc.)
I can't accept applications if anybody reads this (AUGs). I am just after some pointers from construction professionals. Also, no contact from agencies please.

Thanks, Ian M

Have you tried RICS Ian?

Don't know if they do free ads though.

Hi Ian

My husband is a QS and suggested contacting the CIOB as a starting point.

Hope that helps.

Ian

Try www.CareersinConstruction.com, its not free, but it does have a very very wide readership and it is much more competively priced than SHP or their new online offering.

Have a look and see what you think.

Hi. Thanks again.
We have some adverts appearing in the specialist press this month. Just to clarify, my company were not trying to get a freebie advert anywhere, just needed somebody very quickly and wanted a messageboard type forum.

In defence of IOSH, it seems that most professional institutions do not have a casual free careers forum either, so perhaps this negate sour protests over the last few months.

PS I am stopping watching this thread now as I don't want to get drawn into any off-topic debate!!

Regards and thanks once again - Ian.

'negate sour' should be 'negates our' - a loophole in the spellcheck!
