I'm looking for some advice to pass onto a friend. He's a very experienced roofer living in Coventry who now wants to get into H&S using his construction experience and is confused about the best way through the range of examining bodies/qualifications.
For someone like him, is the best way through to get the NEBOSH General Cert first, or a 'National Cert. in Construction' - and would the latter fulfil the requirements to get into doing the NEBOSH Diploma? Is there another route that anyone can suggest (assume that he has no other relevant qualifications)
Thanks!
Kevin

This is only my personal view; I would recommend going down the Nebosh Construction Certificate route; you mention your friend is experienced in Construction activities; so am assuming the H&S he wishes to ultimately practice will probably be construction related.

Yes this would be fine to go on and do the diploma at level 6 afterwards; be warned though there is little comparison between the certificate and the diploma.
