Posted By Allan Curran Hi
Does anyone have any experience of this course?
I'm interested in doing some teaching to outside parties in basic health and safety stuff- anyone any suggestions as to what would be a good qualification to have under my belt?
Thanks in advance.

Posted By Rebecca Oriana Jackson Hi Allan
I took the certificate last December to update my training qualifications as have been in and out of training for about 10 years.
The certificate is useful in that it is a recognised qualification and obviously helpful if you plan to deliver CIEH courses as then they know exactly to what level you have studied.
However course wise I found it very basic and if you want to study learning styles, learning theory and write very detailed lesson plans this course does not go far enough. However it is practical and the 'exam' is to deliver a 30 minute presentation to your peers and critique it. Good if you can take your own constructive criticism.
Overall I found it a good basic training qualification which would stand anyone in good stead to deliver quality training.
hope this helps

Posted By Andrew Beveridge Hi Allan, I completed this last year as a pre requisite to being able to deliver the CIEH courses. As mentioned, it is a straightforward course with the opportunity to receive constructive feedback on your delivery.
Its quite often possible to find this as a funded course through local colleges etc.
Regards Andy
