I have spent weeks searching through the Internet, RC’s, papers and SHP only to find that most jobs are based down south or require experience working in the construction industry. I got a break about 3 weeks ago with an LA where they offered me the job, but sadly and with much regret I had to turn down due to financial reasons – but least I know I’m still employable. I am currently working as a H&S Officer for a large distribution company and have been in this role for the past 5 yrs and have enjoyed working there, however the time has come for me to take on a new challenge and progress my career. I have my NEBOSH certificate and have completed the New NEBOSH Diploma (taking my resits in June) along with various other Professional courses. I’d love a job with variety, working for a consultancy would be great – but I have yet to find one. Does anyone have any advice on where to look for jobs in the northwest, I have my CV registered with a couple of RC’s but I find that they are full of flat promises. Sorry to have gone on, any advice given would be much appreciated. PS. Good luck to all the other job hunters!!!
