What you must ensure you do is have an interview, the rejection at application can be frustrating, don't give too much away in your CV but ensure you have just enough to tempt them into bringing you along for that interview. this is going to be your chance to shine; make it count! the very best to you. Posted By CFT Craig There is no real template that is right, nor the cover letter; there are however many that are plain wrong! You have to start somewhere so get the base CV done in the way you consider correct and send it to me, I will pull it apart for you and we go from there; it does not matter if it goes back and forth half a dozen times, we'll get it right for you in the end. Rather than send the CV out for a specific position you will need to tailor it to suit the job, so don't hesitate to stay in touch via email; I am only too pleased to help. CFT

Posted By Stuart Hamilton Craig if your current role would permit, you could ask a local employer if you could shadow their own health and safety officer and help them undertake a particular project - this gives you some experience and depending on the type of work undertaken an "area of specialism". There are not many H&S Professionals out there that would turn down free help !! - especially given you have now concluded the diploma. just a thought !!
