Hi,
I am shortly going to be taking the above course, with a view to pursuing a career in Health & Safety. I will be leaving the RAF in January 2008, and my wife has been offered a position in Queensland, Aus. Is the Nebosh quals recognised in Australia or is there a conversion type course.

Posted By Bob Hi Geoff, To work in Queensland as a Health and Safety Professional you require a Qld Government WHSO qualification. Although your nebosh qualification is probably better I am sure you would have to complete the course - look of the Qld Dept of WH&S website for the details of the WHSO course - it takes approx 2 weeks full time study. Your nebosh qualification would still be invaluable when applying for positions. Remember the legislation in Australia is based on the UK legislation - so that is also an advantage to you - and worth reminding prospective employers. It would also be invaluable to complete the Qld gov't course - Rehabiliation and Return to Work Coordinator - most employers look for it. If you want anymore info let me know bobsmith584@hotmail.com
