Hi all this is my first post

im 21 and looking to get into the hse side of work. ive got 5 years work experience in mechanical engineering ranging from turbines to subsea equipment.

my qualifications go from svq level 3 aswell as a hnc in mech engi.

what do you recommend i should start learning for a chance at a health and saftey role.

ive just recentley moved down to the north west of england so i dont have distractions such as going to the local or spending weekends out at parties e.t.c so from when i finish work my time is really my time

so what do you recommend course wise (distance learning) and what are the realisitic chances of getting health and saftey roles these days

any information is a real boost also you can get my on

bewoulf_agate@hotmail.com for a chat or mail or my main pop3 e-mail is
beavis2002@tiscali.co.uk (was an old nickname from work)

regards
Steve

Start off with the NEBOSH General Cert and see how you get on form there. Check out the NEBOSH website for course providers near you.
