Posted By glass.back Hi, Newbie to the forum here. I'm currently Grad IOSH and working as SHE advisor for an upper tier COMAH chemicals plant in the North East for the last 4 years. I'm looking for a change in direction and would like to get involved with the challenges in construction. What would you recommend as a a course or training to aid that change?

Posted By james mc Hi There I would recommend firstly you do the cscs test which most people should have before they are allowed onto a const. site (competency card). then you should look at NEBOSH const. cert. CITB are good. If possible get a start with a construction company to get used to ALL the different things that are going on in const. site`s. ststistics show most accident`s happen to people who are unfamiliar with there work or surroundings.I always point this out at My inductions or to young workers. there will be lots of different courses you could attend but I think this is a good way to get started. hope this helps James
