Hi there,
Could anyone tell me what job prospects there would be for a techIOSH member with a French diploma and 6 years' experience in Health and Safety, but no NEBOSH?
thanks for your help

I suspect there would be many junior roles available with future promotion.
Look for a job where you can take the NEBOSH qualifications part time.
Good luck

Personally I would NOT dismiss such a CV out of hand - clearly I'd like to see the person being willing to undertake some additional training specifically in UK law for work in the UK. Depending on where (industry) the 6 years experience was and the type of roles undertaken I wouldn't personally see this as a mjor barrier - so push that CV out there.

Hi
You don't indicate which area of the country you are in, this may also have a bearing on the types of opportunities that are available. Don't just restrict your thoughts to just NEBOSH, local colleges and universities will be worth a look, and they may take you current qualification as an entry requirement, or even acknowledge elements of it for "approved prior learning" (APL) - many of the colleges and universities will provide part-time/ evening classes/ distance learning to allow you to develop UK related qualifications. In the meantime, depending on your personal circumstances, you could try and seek paid or unpaid work experience.
One of the regular statements on these pages is that people have the qualification but no experience, so you may find it useful to develop both. (Although I note you use TechIOSH in your thread heading so this suggests you may well already be on this road)
