Posted By Ian G Hutchings Hi You may need to check with them. I believe that most companies will currently expect a powerpoint presentation. However, do keep slides brief and handouts are a good idea. You could even use a flip chart to explain certain points and try and engage people in discussion. Good luck

Posted By DRB Take the initiative, talk to HR and tell them that you would like to use PowerPoint if it can be arranged. If they say okay make sure the equipment will be there and working or take your own (if doing this make sure it will work with their projector). Try and get a copy of the firms logo and put it in your PowerPoint. Also use their corporate colours. Ask if you can arrive a few minutes early to set up. Keep the PowerPoint simple with a few slides, each containing no more than a few bullet points. Do not just read what's on the screen but use that as a prompt. Prepare handouts. Finally make sure you have paper copies if the IT fails. Good luck!

Posted By Pete Longworth 20 minutes for a presentation is longer than you think. Split it up into 3 areas; LEGAL FINANCIAL MORAL LEGAL reasons - Comply with legal requirements, avoid prosecutions etc FINANCIAL - Avoidance of fines, compensation claims, accident costs, sick pay costs, costs of re-training, overtime , recruitment, loss of business reputation etc and most importantly employee may lose livelihood following accident. MORAL - employer's duty of care, employees entitled to expect to remain safe at work, etc

Posted By SAF I take it this is your first interview in HS or in general. As suggested talk to the interviewer and ascertain what IT provisions will be available. Remember the environment and who the audience are. Good Luck
