Posted By Lee Herbert Hi, I passed my Gen Cert in March with credit, currently working towards NVQ4 in occupational health & safety practice. It took me until mid august to find my first role working as an assistant safety advisor on an Energy Project. Having left that position due to reasons which i can only describe without sounding ungrateful for the experience as ' not how i want to learn my new profession '. This may surprise a lot of people but if i'm to progress in H&S i want to do it with professionalism. Hopefully someone in the Hull ( Humberside ) area ( but willing travel ) will read this and be able to offer me more experience on any level, i have worked in construction , manufacturing , with lead and gunpowder with some roles in safety teams and shadowed the safety advisor during the shutdown of a factory i recently worked at. Also am a qualified Fork Lift Instructor so i have a varied working background. A genuine feel for H&S and desperate to succeed in this field. Any help or further advice on progression will be greatly appreciated. Thanks Lee.
