Posted By Mike Parks I have been trying to get a foot on the H&S field ladder. My problem is the usual no experience so i do not even get as far as any interviews. I would be willing to consider any entry level position within the North Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire, and South Yorkshire areas. My current position is shift work so shaodwing is not practical as I only have weekends off and none of the Safety companies i have approached work weekends. If there is anyone who can offer me a start I would be very grateful.

Posted By ITK Mike, it might help if you state your qualifications and or experince for potential employers. However the mods will be locking this thread soon so you may have to do another post with this info on. ITK

Posted By Mike Parks I have and 'old' NGC from 2000. I have hands on experience on the factory floor and in retail, but no H&S experience which is why I am looking for an entry level post. my current employer has only supervisors and managers in the H&S committee so i cannot get experience that way either.

Posted By mark limon How about taking up the role of safety rep or in a non union place,,representative of employee safety. If you are in a union they will usually provide good training and the TUC runs good courses as well. This is a route a lot of people take when they are starting out Mark
