Posted By JoanOfArc67 Hello there Could someone please advise me if companies take on newly qualified personnel with a view to them getting experience? I have recently been successful in my NEBOSH General Certificate and am looking for a suitable position, but most of the jobs I see advertised are asking for experienced H&S Advisors. I do have a reasonable amount of Health and Safety experience, but not specifically as a Health and Safety Advisor. I have worked for a public sector area for the past 13 years in the Industrial Cleaning sector. I have worked as the Cleaning Manager of a multi-site area for the past 2 years. As such, I have on-hand experience with writing Risk Assessments, COSHH Assessments, PPE Assessments, Manual Handling Assessments, SSOW, Accident/Near Miss Reporting and local Accident Investigation, H&S Self Auditing. I train operators in all aspects of H&S relating to the cleaning trade and deliver H&S Induction Training to both supervisors and operators. I also have a Food Hygiene Certificate and have trained in H&S Workplace Inspections. Any help or advise would be greatly received.
