Posted By SharonR Hi Sorry it's me again still looking for my first health & safety role. I figure that if I keep posting that I am looking that someone will give me a job to stop me from posting! I have recently completed my NEBOSH General Certificate and I get my results in two weeks time. I self funded the course and took annual leave to attend. I am currently a Library Manager for two libraries and I am responsible for all the health and safety within these two buildings. I am looking for a position either as a safety assistant or I would be very interested in a position as a health and safety trainer. My experience includes: Compiling of risk assessments. I am the Fire Safety Coordinator for both libraries and I have completed the Fire Risk Assessment for both buildings and the evacuation plan. Staff training in health and safety. I am a trained Moving and Handling of Objects trainer. I liaise with contractors on work being carried out in my sites ensuring that all health and safety is followed and I liaise with our Property Services Department on work being carried out in my libraries. I have been a Safety Representative in the past and a member of my Departmental Health & Safety Committee. I have recently joined IOSH. I live outside Portsmouth but would be willing to travel any reasonable distance for the right position. I am motivated, willing to learn and keen to take on any training necessary. If you can help me please get in touch. Thanks for reading.
