Posted By cdthomas Hi all, After a lengthy spell away from the forum, i've decided to try again but this time a lot wiser. I have the NEBOSH Cert and have enrolled on the Fire Safety course with the exam being in march next year. I always worked in manufacturing/warehousing so believe this is where my forte lies, I have recently moved back to the lincs region so am looking for either full or part time H & S work, as I am currently unemployed, I am avsailable for voluntary work in-order to gain valuable experience. If anyone can help me, I would be very grateful, also I would like to email my CV to a seasoned 'pro' for their feed back as to why i am not getting any luck with my job applications. many thanks chris

Posted By Allan Curran Might sound like a stupid question but the jobs you are applying for - are they for holders of the General Certificate or higher? In my experience there aren't that many jobs on offer where the employer asks for the General Certificate only - normally its the Diploma. Easier said than done I know but if you can do the diploma that will increase your chances exponentially - even just working towards it helped me.
