Hi All,
I have the following qualifications:
HND Applied Biology
Nebosh Nat' General
Nebosh Fire Risk and Safety Management
5 years + experience.
(Experienced teacher as i'm also a qualified riding instructor)
If i take the City and Guilds 7303 Preparing to teach in the life long learning sector and C&G Manual Handling Train the trainer will I be qualified enough to teach Fire Marshall Courses, Basic Health and Safety Awareness , Induction and Manual Handling Courses for other companies not just my current employer.
As I work Part time and I'm thinking of branching out in to training short courses aiming at small rural businesses.(My company are more than happy for me to do so)
I realise I need Insurance etc but do I also need the diploma?
I'm aiming to start that in the next year or so.
Regards
Crescent

In my opinion you are at liberty to deliver the training, there does not appear to be any legal requirements in this area, but you have to ensure the material you deliver in your sessions is correct and current. The City and Guilds 7303 Preparing to teach in the life long learning sector qualification is a minimum requirement should you wish to teach in a college of further education.
