I have my Nebosh General Certificate (Credit) and have been working for the past 2 and a bit years as a Health & Safety Officer for a company based in the west midlands. Ever since November the company had been reduced in size by around 50 percent and i unfortunately lost my job as i had only been there or 3 years. (they didn't want to let me go but had no choice). I have been looking for health and safety roles ever since and have had no luck as yet, i am realistic and don't expect a health and safety managers job and 40k a year quite this early in my career, however i did expect to be able to find another job within a few months. Does anyone think there is much chance of this happening in the current situation and have i been looking in the right places, i have tried councils, agencies, papers and most online job sites. Please help, i can start work immediately.
