Posted By 2420grifterboy Hello all Let me introduce myself a little. I am currently serving in the forces and due to finish in Mar 10. I have completed and passed NEBOSH Gen Cert and Fire Cert and also hold additional relevant qualifications. I start the Diploma at the end of this month and currently head down in books at every opportunity. I am looking for work experience/job placement in any area of H&S or advice of where to look for volunteer work. I am mainly looking in the Beds/Herts area but willing to travel to London and some parts in the South East. As the title says I am not after a job because I have one for the next 13 months just need more experience for future employment and to help with unit D. If you would like a copy of my cv to see if you can use me for a short while or weekends please e-mail me and I will forward one on. Many thanks for your time Leigh

Posted By Andy Cummings Hi Leigh Can't help you out personally I'm in Scotland but why don't you try some of the charities I'm sure they would welcome any sort of assistance St Johns or the red cross may be interesting as they carry out a wide range of services including transport, public events and disaster response etc, you might even get a first aid ticket out of it. All the best Andy

Posted By 2420grifterboy Thanks Andy for the response. Didn't think about the red cross but i have looked at their website and there seems to be a few opportunities there so thanks for that. Don't need a first aid ticket i am already a first aid trainer so i have that one covered. Again thanks alot Leigh

Posted By Andy Cummings Hi Mate first aid trainer ticket that's a good one to have, I had another though on this you my also want to try some of the smaller voluntary people like cave rescue mountain rescue and ma bay the smaller stand alone beach lifeguard type organisations there is also group called COTAG 4X4 RESPONE who provide transport during emergencies try there web site, they tend to be self funding and would probably be happy for help also. Any way all the best
