Posted By murray-t Here I go again. Last July I left the Royal Navy and was lucky enough to get a job strait away working as a H&S Advisor for an M&E company in London. 3 months later I was made redundant. Before the doom and gloom could set in I was offered a new position, the only problem, this one was also only for 3 months. The position was as a H&S Advisor for another M&E company this time helping to build the new Liquid Natural Gas processing plant at South Hook in Wales. So after working for 22 years without a break in employment I’ve now had 2 jobs in 6 months, hopefully my next position will last a bit longer. I would just like to add a good luck to anyone looking for work in these troubled times.

Posted By garyh I could guess your background from your spelling of "straight"! I would either try your luck as a consultant or focus on contract work. Alternatively, with your experience, look for day work with a training company eg IOSH / NEBOSH. Good luck.
