A little bit pricey, but you do get a good lunch!

Posted By jimfer In response to CDM-C course providers, NHBC run a MaPS course which is endorsed by the Association for Project Safety which is the nationally recognised qualification for CDM-Coordinators. The course is 3 full days in various locations throughout the country. The link below may be helpful: http://www.nhbc.co.uk/Bu...ementofCDMCo-ordination/

Posted By Andrew Kelleher Just another question.
Has anyone attended the 'Management of CDM Co-ordination' course, and how did you find the exam at the end of the course??
Thanx

Posted By jimfer I have attended the three day CDM-C Management course. The exam time given is 3 hours but most people finish it before that. The exam is open book and you have to refer to the ACOP and quote the management regulation numbers and paragraphs in the answers, which relate to the questions asked in the paper.
Some of the questions are ambiguous and although it is multi choice they can be looking for more than one answer but you aren't told how many.
The best way to approach it is to take your time and go through the ACOP looking for the appropriate reg. which corresponds to the question. If you get stuck at a question just continue on to the next question then come back to it.
The questions are wide ranging and examine your knowledge of the regulations and also the scope and responsibilities of the other duty holders.
I managed to complete the paper in 1hr 40 mins but a few others used the full 3 hours.
Good Luck.
