Luckily enough to have a second interview for a H&S Advisors role next week!
In the past I have been fortunate to get my previous jobs at the first stage.
Could anyone tell me what to expect in terms of the process of a second interview? I expect the first interview was more to find out about me, now Im thinking they want to know what I can do. Am I along the right lines?
Thanks
B

From the point of view of someone going to interview I have had a couple of quite contrary experiences.
My current job
- 1st interview was very technical and judging my abilities,
- 2nd was really to meet and greet other senior ppls top check they approved.
Previous job -
1st interview was a screening process, a casual chat to determine what I was like and my experiences.
2nd interview was very technical and intense then a set of stupid questions.
(e.g. how did you manage your time yesterday)
In my experience being invited back for second interview puts you in a very strong position as your CV and 1st interview must mean you can do the job
I didn't attend other second interviews so that's it from me. The way I was treated at interviews has really reflected the quality of the employer, remember you are interviewing them too! :) No coffee is a bad start!
Advice?
Relax, be yourself and expect anything :)

As somebody who recently sat on an interview panel, I agree with what the previous post said, be yourself. Additionally,
Know everything there is to know about the organisation you have applied to (not just a quick internet search) and about the position you are applying for. In particular, what is the "value added" in them hiring you (what can you bring to the post that others might not be able to offer)?
Good luck.
