Posted By raquelduarte Hi I was wondering if you can help. I'm 26 and looking for a change in career (I currently work as an accounts administrator. I find the field of Health & Safety really interesting and think this would be a really good career path for me. I don't really have much experience, with the exception of being the Fire Warden at my currently job, however I do have BSc in Psychology and have the means to do the NEBOSH Certificate asap. What would you advise for soemeone like me? If I get my certificate in say... a couple of months, where should I go from there? Many Many Thanks

Posted By Tina Weadick Or just keep reading the Jobs section of IOSH's own magazine, SHP, and its careers site shp4jobs, which contain career advice and a substantial number of job adverts EVERY month! Tina - SHP editor

Posted By Southerner I'm impressed this didn't get 'moderated instantly to be honest, blatant advertising essentially but fair play and respect for leaving it up. As for the chap wanting to just start out in H&S, it will not be easy at all in the current climate, but if your persistent you may get your lucky break. I started looking about two weeks ago and have managed to secure a new job this week. There is definitely stuff out there for the right candidate and things are picking up.

Posted By Safe System Southerner, There is no 'blatant advertising' in my post. I am merely trying to help other people join the family. Sometimes i like to use my talents for good, not evil ;)
