Posted By Anderson8 Hi all,
Well as we all know times are hard at the moment and i am suffering my own personal credit crunch in addition to the global one.
I am thinking of getting some part time work, which may not be in the h&s field. However, i have been thinking about the possibility of consultancy work, in addition to my current role of H&S advisor for a large manufacturing company from the food and drink sector.
I understand the H&S side of things, however the business head side of things i am not too good with. Can anyone point me in the right direction or offer some advice please?
Thanks in advance for any given.

Posted By Anderson8 Yes Stephen, i see from the IOSH guidance notes there is a lot to it, insurance requirements are one amongst many, it has made me wonder if taking it on part time is feasible. I wonder if anyone out there whom has done so could comment.
Maybe a pizza round I'm thinking :-/

Depending on how flexible you are you could think about some associate work. Some larger consultancies use associates to help cope with the peaks and troughs in their work load. Some of them will cover you under their company insurance.
Might be worth making some enquiries.
