Hi All,

Any suggestions welcomed and taken into consideration. I, like many others, find myself looking for work in this current climate.

MY CURRENT (RELEVANT) EXPERIENCE/ QUALIFICATIONS

MSc Occupational Health & Safety with Merit
BSc Environmental Risk Management
NEBOSH National General Certificate with Credit
Project Management
CIEH Level 2 Principles in Manual Handling
ISO 9001 (Quality) Internal Auditor
ISO 14001 (Environmental) Internal Auditor
CIEH Level 2 Principles of COSHH
Risk Assessment – Principles & Practice
OHSAS 18001 (Occupational Health & Safety) Internal Auditor
Train the Trainer
Member of IOSH (obviously ha ha)

Able to use MS Office: Word, Excel, Access & Powerpoint, also have other various computer qualifications.

EH&S Work Experience:
10 week placement as a Trainee Health and Safety Advisor at a demolition contractors to produce traffic management system
16 months at a global aircraft engine repair and maintenance organisation as an Environmental Health & Safety Intern which also involved creating and delivering regulatory training packages to the workforce.
11 months updating SOP's amongst other office duties as a training administrator for a fruit juice/ smoothie manufacturer until made redundant.

The thing is, these opportunities have arisen by chance (advertised, applied for and got the job) and I've managed to grab them with both hands and run with them until they've expired (end of contract or, in the current climate, becoming redundant).

I would eventually like a full time role within the field of health and safety (with or without environmental and willing to learn quality) but find myself in a catch 22 situation - "I feel that I need more experience to get a job in this field and I need a job in this field to gain the experience".

Any suggestions welcomed in regard to gaining work/experience. If it helps, I'm currently located close to J34 of the M4.

Thank you for your time :)
