Hi all,

I posted this in the Study forum but only got one response (which I'm grateful for).

Let me know what you think...

I was hoping people may be able to help me make my mind up.

I want to do either the Nebosh Dip or the new BCS Dip. I believe they are both graduate Level 6 qualifications.

I have done the Nebosh general cert and did suffer with the "Neboshisms" slightly. With this in mind and the fact i don't work with UK H&S i considered completing the BSC Dip in OSH. The BSC route also offers an entry level if you have done the NGC.

My issue is that I'm not sure if I'm being sold a load of spin from the course sellers and I'm trying to get hold of some facts on pass rates and course value.

I considered completing the distance learning but believe the pass rates to be very low and unsuccessful, therefore i think the block weeks would suit me better.

Can anyone advise if there is a significant difference between the courses and if my choice could affect my future career options?

I believe the cost of the BSC course is about £5600 all in.

If anyone can offer any advice or experience then it would be very welcome as this whole educational path thing is a bit of a mine field.

Kindest Regards,

Damian Jennison.

Maybe you should have.

You can do the Nebosh diploma for alot less than £5600.

Leave the wise cracks to me.

Hi,

Since your struggling for comments i thought I'd add mine. I can't add a comparison between the two, having said that it's going to be difficult for anyone to add value to that I'm guessing as you'd either do one or the other, unless your really keen of course.

I took the NEBOSH dip route, and I'd say to anyone taking any course whilst there maybe some differences in the way the syllabus is examined, if the tuition is good and you study well you find they both extremely beneficial.I found the Nebosh a very rewarding and "dare i say" enjoyable course.

If you did well in the Nebosh cert, then you'll have an excellent platform for the Diploma, i found that anyway.

Good luck mate
