Problem in looking a company's information
Rank: Guest
|
Posted By min Recently I have been offered to attend a job interview. However I could not find a lot of information about the company from internet, as the company's website is still under construction. Under these circumstances, do you think it is ok to call the company and ask them to send me some information about them? Does this sound too easy or awkward to get the information? Are there any other ways to find more information about a company?

Posted By AMelrose If they don't have a valid website yet then I don't see why you couldn't give them a call (mention you'd tried to locate info on the internet though). They may have an info pack they have produced for marketing.
If they are a research company, try and search for any recent research they may have published [if you know any of the scientists that work for them].
Good luck with the interview

Posted By Coshh Assessor In the days before the internet, that is exactly what careers advisers recommended applicants to do. It was supposed to show interest and initiative. So don't be apologetic about it!
