I have been working in civil engineering for the past twelve years focusing on heavy civil engineering construction; covering everything from earthworks to RC frames and a little bit of rail work. During this time I have been on numerous safety and environmental courses and have been using these skills on the job as a site engineer all the way through to sub-agent level.

I have recently started the NEBOSH construction certificate but have also been made redundant from one of the largest contractors in the UK. Now, I appreciate there are more highly qualified people out of work at the moment as well but I would really like to make my next move into health and safety; but at the moment there just appears to be a black hole where opportunities once existed.
If anyone knows of anything going in the South East (I am based in North Kent) or good websites to use then please could you let me know.
Thanks very much,
Julz.
