Posted By Marie T Hello Everyone, I'm curious to know if any of you would be willing to share your occupational safety checklists for areas in the automotive parts manufacturing industry. I would greatly appreciate any resources that you may know of. Thank you Marie Safety Undergrad

Posted By Robert Woods There are no overall check lists for automotive part manufacture Each part is manufactured differently a head restraint is largely made by hand where a crankshaft is made by a preset hi tech milling machine, most sparkplug holders are injection moulded. What i'm getting at is each different process would have to be risk assessed and a safe system of work devised for that individual process. Hope i've not been too negative. Robert Woods..

Posted By Merv Newman I must agree with the above response. I do a lot of work with Renault, Volvo and Fiat. Imagine a typical plant supplying parts to an assembler such as Renault : 1 000 employees working three shifts means approximately 2 - 300 different work stations, each requiring risk assessment and safe systems of work etc. By the time you get half way around the site they don't make that car any more and you have to start again. Bon courage Merv Newman
