I have a client who is a Partnership. They have a number of partners distributed over 5 locations. THe business operate through distinct business units of which there are several. The problem is is devising a coherent safety management structure for within the company. I've got some ideas but want to know if anyone out there has any suggestions or experience in this area.
Thanks

This problem obviously does interest many people. You fundamentally require a system which looks at processes and accountabilities rather than job descriptions- these processes are described within ISO 9000 2000/ISO 14001 1996 and BS 8800 (OHSAS 18000)
There are in each of these are Key Management Processes and with some care they can be cross mapped to provide Key Management Elements. I have derived 13 of these and have then derived expectations for each of the elements. Contact me for a further discussion
