Posted By Liz Johnston As you will appreciate our parking attendants suffer a high level of violence and verbal abuse. We are putting together a strategy to reduce the levels and their impact. One aspect we are looking at is abolishing our current bonus scheme as we feel this encourages inappropriate behaviour by some of our attendants. Can anyone have any figure regarding the experience of assault rates etc. particularly in relation to bonus schemes. We can share our work with those who provide this information.

Posted By Robert Woods Have you told UNISON about the problem or your ideas for a solution, they may be able to help or they may call for industrial action. If you feel that the bonus scheme is creating a problem of increased violence to staff you could turn the bonus into part of the salary. Or is the idea to use H&S as an excuse cutting? R Woods
