First you need to identify the gases, There is a useful webpage http://www.refrigerant-supply.com which lists numerous common refrigerants by chemical name and by shorthand name (e.g. R12). They also have pages of data on the products. For a more familiar type of MSDS data sheet, some of them will be found on the University of Oxford's site, http://physchem.ox.ac.uk/MSDS/ using their chemical names.

5 main problems
Environmental - ozone depleting substances - must not escape - decant from bottle to bottle or system to bottle. Monitor for leaks. Use rubber gloves or similar on bottles to prevent fugitive emmissions.
Refrig gases heavier than air and will displace air/Oxygen so asphyxiation possible. Assure good ventilation and monitor like confined space.
Manual handling of bottles - use proprietry bottle carriers and sling.
If subject to a high temp eg in fire or by smoking, the gas breaks down - phosgene gas is by product. Amend emergency routines and ban smoking in vcinity.
Cold burns possible due to expansion and leaks or choke points. Usually easy to see - but precautions to be taken.
