Posted By Phil Begg Hi Agnes, We have had some problems with darkroom ventilation in the past and if I recall properly Kodak assessed the air changes at 15 per minute +/- 20%. The solution may be fairly obvious (more air) but the problem can be complex. Some of the answer will depend upon the process in use, the chemistry involved (some units still use glutaraldehyde as a hardening agent especially in breast screening units) which will necessitate air sampling. The risk from glutaraldehyde are probably low in this case but you will have to consider them. The design of the light baffles and the extract ducting should also be looked at to make sure they are not causing a problem.
