My Company are in the process of centralising our personnel from several buildings into one purpose built building in Germany.
Although our standards invariably exceed minimum legal requirements, I have been tasked to determine what the specific legal requirements are for the workplace including workspace, lighting, ventilation, welfare arrangements etc so that we ensure our legal duty is fulfilled.
My first instinct is to find out what Germany have put in place as a result of the the European Council Directive 89/654/EEC 30 Nov 1989 which the UK implemented as the Workplace Reg's, but I am unaware of where to look for this for Germany. As part of a large International project, it is vital that the information is absolutely accurate so personal interpretations of the legislation is insufficient, however, codes of practice and official guidance would be accepted.
Can anyone provide or direct me to somewhere that I can obtain this information. We are willing to finance the provision of the information and any subsequent translation into English.
