Posted By Ian Lumsden Sheree, What my company has done is to set up several safety teams in different areas such as Forklift truck, Manual handling, fire etc. Each team has a representative from each department that meets each week for about an hour, the team leaders meet for about two hours to discuss safety issues and any safety audit maters as a company safet committee.

Posted By Merv Newman Sheree sometime last year I posted a full description of a "positive" safety campaign - rewarding people for the good things they did to help the safety effort - instead of punishing them when things go wrong (lose the prize if there is an accident ...) This program worked so well that the company concerned is now running it a second time - by popular request ! Have a look through the chat line archives - I can't even remember the approx date. If you have no luck then send me an email. Merv Newman insafety@fc-net.fr
