ACOP there is a specific power that Local Authorities 'MAY' use(i.e. not a duty but a power they can opt to use in appropriate circumstances). This allows them to specify by notice served on owner or occupier of a relevant place(this is typically a cafe where patrons eat on the premises) detailed type and number of facilities required.This may be in addition to facilities required for food handlimg staff under Food Hygiene regulations.
