Posted By Nick Higginson Ray, I have no idea of your level of knowledge and experience, so apologies if I'm teaching granny to suck eggs. It is always dangerous to base your RA on others, as the assessment is by definition supposed to be specific to your site. Relying on someone elses may leave you liable in the case of an accident. Perhaps you would be better obtaining HSE's guides: "5 steps to risk assessment" and "Workplace transport safety". They also do a free leaflet on reversing vehicles (as well as free summary leafets of the 2 previously mentioned titles). Bear in mind that workplace transport is one of HSE's priority areas under Revitalising Health and Safety. They expect to see a safe workplace, a safe vehicle and a safe driver. Kind regards, Nick Higginson PS I do have a PPT presentation on workplace transport if you want it. It was done for revision purposes, but may be helpful.
