Posted By Shaun Deely We are about to approve a home wrking position for a memeber of satff. Does anyone have a sample policy or guidelines that have been used successfully? Have read the HSE publication relating to this but could do with some 'fleshing out'

Posted By John Ridd Contact the Health and Safety people at the Royal and Sun Alliance (Horsham). They have produced their own video (now generally available) on this topic and a few guidance booklets which I think include Company policy.

Posted By Eddie Newall Unison has a document that may be useful: http://www.unison.org.uk/acrobat/10943.pdf Or go to http://www.unison.org.uk/index.asp and search for Working Alone - safety reps guide. To quote: "Lone working increases the risks that workers may face. This guide for safety reps looks at the common hazards; the employers legal duties, including what must be considered when risk assessing, and includes information and a case study on homeworking."
