I AM VERY INTERESTED TO FIND OUT IF ITS MANDITORY TO HAVE MEDICAL CHECKS OR IS IT DOWN TO THE INDIVIDUAL COMPANY AT THERE DISCRETION,I WOULD BE VERY GREATEFUL FOR ANY INFO HOWEVER SMALL.

we do one anyway:
The usual stuff is covered, sight, hearing, blood pressure etc.
It helps when the civil claims come in - believe me I know! Remember that you may be required to prove that your employees (drivers) were competent (trained) and physically fit to undertake their duties.
