Posted By Jason Weston I am looking for guidance on the frequency of bin chute cleaning in high rise blocks. I am not aware of any specific guidance on this, and I am sure that the legislation would have us clean them as often as we deem necessary, but I would be interested to know if there is any 'best practise' or industry standard on cleaning frequency.

Posted By Peter J Harvey Jason, I have never really thought about this but I would be interested to hear your thoughts on the subject. I would think that cleaning would not take place that often as the level of difficulty would be very high. In fact do these things have inpection access throughout there length, or is the only access from the rubbish shute access. Worse case senario must be having to gain access. I work for a Local Authority and can just imagine us getting this type of work. Regards Peter Harvey
