Posted By Gavin What kind of topics should be covered in a basic health and safety presentation (three hours) with regards to playgroups and creche workers who let their groups use slides, swings and climbing frames etc. Any help would be most welcome!!

Posted By Zoe Barnett Hi Gavin I'd include basic information on the following topics: The importance of visual checks of the equipment and play area; what to do if they find sharps; what the appropriate level of first aid provision should be (and how they should determine this); what emergency procedures they should have; how to determine appropriate levels of supervision; how to accommodate children with any learning/physical difficulties; transport to and from the playground - e.g. if they're walking how do they manage crossing the road etc; and it may be worth including something about getting in touch with the playground owner about how they get the equipment inspected. Hope this helps Zoe
