I was under the impression and was lead to believe that the manufacturers had stopped ( now no more ) manufacturing asbestos fire blankets from last 10 years, but to my surprise I found that it is not correct. Anyway I would appreciate if readers of this forum advise me the disposal method for asbestos fire blanket please.Thanks in advance

you should contact an HSE registered asbestos contractor who will be able to properly bag it (in two bags - inner bag should be an asbests bag) and take to "land fill" site for disposal. YOU SHOULD OBTAIN from them confirmatio that it has been disposed of suitably due to Environmental Protection Act.
