I’m looking for information on health surveillance for employees exposed to Potassium bichromate. At the moment they are providing a urine sample for analysis at the start of their 4 shifts [after days off] and towards the end of their last day on shift before days off. Is this the best method? Are there others?

Potassium bichromate is an example of a soluble hexavalent chromium compound. These can cause ulceration of the skin and the mucous membranes. They can also cause chrome dermatitis, since they are powerful sensitisers.
