Posted By Eric Burt Has anyone been involved in either the installation or use of rising bollards to control traffic flow. Also, has anyone been involved in investigating accidents involving vehicles, pedestrians or cyclists. And finally... has anyone been involved in any legal claims with these? Many thanks Eric

Posted By simon carrier We are currently installing some rising bollards to restrict access between 2 buildings that pedestrians use constantly. What would you like to know?

Posted By Dave Whitfield Eric, Check out the story in the local newspapers (Ellesmere Port Standard etc) as a report stated that the bollards fitted in Chester have recently damaged a number of cars as they drove along the roads and the bollards shot up underneath them also causing injury to drivers & passengers. This could prove costly to the council. I hope this helps. Regards Dave Whitfield Merseyside Branch.

Posted By Steve Roots Eric In a previous job, I managed the installation of a couple of similar devices (usually mechanical ramp). We did have a couple of claims from employee's who stated that the ramps had damaged their vehicles. If you want any more information, please drop me a line.
