Posted By Matthew Smith Happy new year to every one. I am looking for some information with regards to what safety criteria clubs and pubs must satisfy before they are granted a license from the local authority. I have tried the usual searches but to no avail. If anyone can assist I would be most grateful. Thanks in advance. Mat

Posted By John D Crosby Matthew, I assume you are referring to Entertainment Licences. My experience is that different LA's have different requirements so the best thing to do is to contact the Licensing Officers at the LA in question. Many authorities have very strict requirements which are not necessarily based on risk. Some LA's will work with the local fire service re standards but many will ignore the fire service advice re some standards e.g. types of emergency lighting. Cheers John C
