when is a workplace not a workplace?

Posted By Gary May When care is being offered by social care staff to a client in the community. Is the clients home a workplace, as defined by the regulations?

Posted By Gary May So its not a workplace under Workplace Regs - reg 2(1). So with that, the definition in this case for care staff in the community is "a place of work". What steps can be taken to protect care workers who are being asked to work in a clients home, when the client will not turn the heating on. My thoughts are around our conduct of undertaking.
