I wonder if someone could point me in the right direction? I have recently taken over a facilities role in London, and have been left a project to install lightning protection to the building.

Is there a basis for this in H&S legislation or was my predecessor sold a great line by a keen salesman?

More than anything else you probably need this to protect your computers.
