Posted By Mole I am currently seeking information or assistance on safety harness training for complete novices. I want to run a short presentation/course for personal who may in exceptional circumstances have to wear a harness in an emergency situation to allow them to carry out their normal duties. Any pointers?

Posted By George Wedgwood I have seen a 4 hour course run by Accenture at the former BT Training College at Stone, where all BT engineers who had to climb poles were put through all the necessary knowledge and practical training to climb and descent poles safely. I think the course cost in the region of £97 if I remember correctly. Actually wearing the harness and experimenting in it by 'hanging free' safely on the rope is an important part of the training. I hope this helps. If you need more details email me and I will try to put you in touch with the right person. George Wedgwood.
