Posted By David Whaley Has anyone experienced any accidents involving the strip curtains. Fork lift truck drivers are commenting about them. I am trying to get a feel for the size of the problem, if one exists.

Posted By Geoff Burt No accidents but several incidents with one particular client. The curtains get dirty and drivers get used to driving through them - a toot of the horn - without thinking about it. There have been a couple of near misses this way. They now have a flashing light system for pedestrians to press when passing by the entrance. Unfortunately it is difficult to persuade the pedestrians to use the system. We have had to provide extra training for the FLT drivers - which, touch wood, seems to have resolved the problem. Second and most important the curtains swing back after being passing through and in two instances have knocked a gear lever into reverse. We have shortened the curtains in the middle so that this can't happen again. Geoff Burt
